Subject weeks are a specific indicator of students’ attitude to the subjects studied, revealing the creative and thinking abilities of students and the skills of teachers.
Foreign language teachers held a subject week on 1-5 April. The week began with the IX intra-college multilingual Olympiad. It provided for the performance of tasks in Kazakh, Russian, and English by students of non-linguistic specialties and complicated tasks for students studying in language specialties. In total, more than 40 students participated. The winners were awarded with diplomas and sweet prizes. Now they are preparing to participate in the regional multilingual Olympiad and the Kazakh Language Olympiad.
Teachers of English and special disciplines Mukhtar S.E. Olzhabaeva D.N., Dobrenko S.V., Gudrian A.R. conducted open lessons in groups of the 1st year. A blitz tournament “What I know about the translator’s profession” was held for 2nd year students of the specialty “Translation” (Felker T. A.)
In general, the week showed that students remain interested in their chosen profession and are going to continue their education in this direction.
