On May 12, 2023, the VIII Regional Olympiad in Multilingualism among students of technical and vocational education organizations was held on the basis of InEU Higher College. 35 students took part in it.
This year, the multilingual Olympiad was held in two directions:
1. For students of language specialties.
2. For students of non-linguistic specialties.
Objectives of the event are
1. – preservation and development of linguistic and cultural diversity through education;
2. – identification and support of capable and gifted students;
3. – to promote students’ perception of the practical value of the Kazakh language as the state language, Russian as the language of interethnic communication, English as a means of international communication.
The multilingual Olympiad consisted of two rounds: the 1st round involved the performance of test tasks aimed at identifying the level of language competencies, the 2nd round is a public presentation on the proposed topics and the solution of situational tasks.
The competent jury included teachers of various educational institutions of the city of Pavlodar.
By language specialties:
1. Chairman of the jury:
Kabbasova A.T., Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Master of Pedagogy in the direction of “Translation”, full member of the Kazakhstan Association of Translators, Associate Professor of the Department of “Social and Humanitarian Disciplines” InEU.
2. Deputy Chairman:
S. Maygul, Master of Philology, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences of INEU.
3. Jury members are Kehinde Salako, native speaker from Nigeria, Bachelor of English, writer; M.I. Zhumabekov – teacher-researcher, teacher of Russian language and literature of KSU “Kenzhekolskaya SOSH” of Pavlodar.
In non-linguistic specialties:
1. Chairman of the jury: Daurbekov A.M., Master of Humanities in Philology, teacher-expert of the educational program “Foreign language: two foreign languages” of Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after A. Margulan.
2. Deputy Chairman of the jury: B.T. Mukanova, chairman of the educational and methodological association of language disciplines of the organizations of the Pavlodar region, Master of Humanities in Philology, research teacher of the B. Akhmetov Higher Pedagogical College
3. Jury member: Sarybayeva B.Zh., candidate of Philological Sciences, teacher-researcher of the Higher School of Humanities (educational program “Kazakh language and Literature”) of Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after A. Margulan; Bekseitova S.Zh., teacher-researcher, teacher of Russian language and literature of KSU “SOSH 25” of Pavlodar; Ryazhko T.M., teacher-researcher, teacher of a foreign language at KSU “SOSH 26” in Pavlodar.
On behalf of the host of the Olympiad, the director of the Higher College of InEU Tashekenova A.U. spoke with words of greeting.
12 participants who scored the highest number of points were admitted to the second round, 4 of them were students in language specialties, 8 in non-linguistic ones.
The results were summed up at the closing ceremony of the Olympiad.
By the decision of the jury, in the direction of “Language specialties”, Bekbulatova Zakish, a student of the Higher Ekibastuz College of InEU, was awarded a diploma of the 1st degree, a diploma of the 2nd degree – Wahit Zeynep, a student of the Higher College of InEU; Tokusheva Ayymzhan, a student of the Higher College of InEU, received a diploma of the 3rd degree. Kanapyanova.
By the decision of the jury, Sagyndyk Aizhan, a student of the B. Akhmetov Pedagogical Higher College, was awarded a diploma of the 1st degree in the direction of “Non-linguistic specialties”.
The diploma of the 2nd degree was awarded to Erikbayeva Alina, a student of the Music College.
The diploma of the 3rd degree was received by Elizabeth Venichenko, a student of the Ekibastuz College of Engineering and Technical Institute. academician Satpayev, and Guldana Baysekenova, a student of the Higher College of Toraigyrov University.
The winner of the nomination “The best expert of the state language” was Adyrbayev Aidar (College of Information Technologies). Ospan Alina (Pavlodar Humanitarian Pedagogical College) won in the nomination “High level of English proficiency”. The diploma in the nomination “Superpolyglot” went to Adamova Aruzhan (Ekibastuz Medical College), “For purity and expressiveness of speech” – to Maria Khakhlova (InEU Higher College).
