The team of the tourist club “Vertical” of the children’s courtyard club “Syutur” of the Center for Ecology and Tourism of Pavlodar participated in the two-day open extreme orienteering championship “EXTREME-O”. 19 pupils of the club went to Astana.
The organizers of the competition offered the athletes a distance in orienteering, which was complicated by the passage of various obstacles. Choosing the path of passage with the help of a map and a compass, the participants practiced the stages corresponding to the age categories. They showed their skills in overcoming overhanging and steeply inclined crossings, climbing a hill with a rope, climbing a rope, climbing through a tire fixed with ropes above the ground, and walking along a beam, holding onto a pipe with their hands or feet, climbing on it.
Pavlodar orienteers performed well at the competitions. In the group of 18-year-olds among girls, a student of the humanities department Klimentyeva Amina (FS-153 group) took part in the championship, following the results of the competition she took the 🥇place.
