On February 24, the teacher of InEU College Tabasheva G.K. and students of the D-312 group visited the exhibition of paintings, graphics and sculptures of Armenian artists in the Pavlodar Regional Art Museum. More than 90 works were shown at the exhibition, the authors of which came to art at the end of the 20s of the XX century – these are the sisters Mariam and Eranui Aslamazyan, S. Galasyan, A. Bakaryan, D. Nalbandyan. And also, the audience saw the works of modern Armenian artists who came to art in the 50-80s of the XX century.
Of particular interest were the works of Mariam Aslamazyan. Being a people’s artist of Armenia, Mariam lived a great creative life. After graduating from the Academy of Arts in Leningrad, Mariam studied with K. Istomin, K. Petrov-Vodkin. Mariyam Aslamazyan is a bright representative of the Armenian school of decorative-planar still life, the author of thematic paintings, portraits. Two large paintings of the artist are kept in Pavlodar – “Tabachnitsa of Armenia” (1957) and the still life “Flowers to the Heroes Who Fell for Their Homeland” (1973).
