Nauryz is the oldest national holiday, which is connected with seasonal changes in nature. According to the Eastern calendar, this is the beginning of the new year, coinciding with the day of the vernal equinox. In Kazakhstan, it is called the Great Day of the People (Ulystyn uly kuni).
Nauryz is a holiday of spring renewal, the birth of a new life, new opportunities. It is dedicated to fertility, the triumph of love and friendship.
