EARLY PREGNANCY AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

On 13.10.2020, a meeting of 1st and 2nd year students with obstetrician-gynecologist Omarbekova Ayazhan Dauletkazievna took place. The topic of the meeting was “Early pregnancy and its consequences”.
Ayazhan Dauletkazievna noted that, by medical standards, pregnancy before the age of 18 is early. Only at the age of 19 does the female body fully mature and is ready to bear and give birth to a child.
During the dialogue with the doctor, the children received answers to their questions: what is the danger of early pregnancy and how to protect yourself from it, what is the statistic result of early pregnancy and what to do if pregnancy occurs.
Of course, the main focus of the conversation was on the prevention of pregnancy. The doctor advised the girls to read books about sex education, to talk more often with their parents about methods of preventing unwanted pregnancies in order to build up a trusting relationship, and to assess the consequences of their “adult” life for themselves. At the end of the conversation, the doctor advised the listeners not to rush to start an adult life, but to feel the charm of youth, student life, love and friendship.
