Purpose: to increase the awareness of students about the most common schemes of Internet canvas, to teach to recognize threats and to respond correctly to suspicious actions on the network.
Tasks:
– familiarize students with the main types of Internet canvas,
The most common schemes of fraud and methods that attackers use on the network.
– increase the level of digital and legal literacy of students, to form an understanding of the legal consequences for both the victim and for the attacker.
– teach students to identify signs of suspicious activity on the Internet,
Correctly respond in situations of potential fraud and know where to turn for help.
March 21, 2025 at the Higher Pedagogical College named after
Akhmetova met with students of colleges in the Pavlodar region with the participation of an employee of the Department of Education and an employee of the Department of Economic Investigations of the Pavlodar region on the topic: Internet canom.
The department employee spoke in detail about modern methods of Internet millennia, including:

Fishing sites and false mailings;
– fraudulent online stores and ads on trading platforms;
– social engineering – deception through trust (false messages from the “bank”, “friends”, “relatives”);
– extortion, use of personal data;
– Fake investment offers and financial pyramids.
The specific cases that took place in the region, where students became affected were also considered.
Students explained the preventive measures to protect themselves and relatives, this is:
– Do not follow the doubtful links;
– check the authenticity of sites and sources of information;

Do not transfer personal data and banking information to third parties;
– Contact law enforcement agencies if fraud is suspected.
As a result of the meeting, the participants received relevant and practical information on protection against Internet millennia, students have increased the level of digital and legal literacy of students.
The event was informative and with a high level of involvement. Students were not only provided with information, but also competitions were held with them. Students received important knowledge that will help them protect themselves in digital space and not become victims of scammers.
