What type of active recreation should students choose during winter? And what could be the best option for this purpose? Skiing, of course! The frosty air, the sun – a magical means of tempering. And moving in such an environment – the best way to strengthen the body. Skiing is beneficial for health as it engages all muscles, develops endurance, agility, and a sense of balance.
The instructors at InEU College consistently organize trips for students to the ski bases “Zelenaya Roscha” and “Irtysh”. Educators and students have shared their impressions of skiing races.
Batalova A.G., a physical education instructor, and the class supervisor of FS-313, says:
- After long and exhausting days of the workweek, going skiing and getting a boost of energy is the best way to treat oneself. Feeling lightness, confidence, and finally, joy in life can only be experienced in unity with the dazzling snow, the blueness of the sky, the bright winter sun, and the smooth, clean ski track!
Demesinova Z.J., a physical education instructor, explains:
- Of course, skiing trips are highly beneficial for health. They improve the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, positively affect the musculoskeletal system. During skiing, metabolic processes are activated, the oxygen intake increases, and fresh air helps to relax and recharge, but, of course, moderation is key, the main thing is not to overexert.
Askerbekov Almas, a student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports,” in the FS 313 group, shares:
- I really love this sport and participated in this health-improving event with great enthusiasm. Skiing not only contributes to good health but also helps one relax and be in harmony with nature. The moment when you inhale fresh air deeply, race forward on skis past snowdrifts and trees, regardless of the cold, is priceless!
Kabdush Erlan, a student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports,” in the FS 411 group, adds:
- Skiing is fantastic! It is well-known that skiing is a demanding sport, but it is very beneficial and interesting for each of us. Skiing trips are, of course, very beneficial for health, for strengthening relationships, and for leisure. It is also simply beneficial to be in nature, especially in the woods. We don’t need to discuss the benefits of clean air.
A skiing trip for our students means energy, health, and fun! The happiness from connecting with winter nature, the rugged beauty that holds a special charm. Ah, what a delight it is to run across the snowy field, under the furry branches of pines, and descend swiftly from the hills! The ringing, frosty air, the sun, the exhilarating feeling of speed during descent, a cup of hot tea. Those who have experienced these sensations will go skiing again and again! These lines are for those who haven’t yet dared to try skiing. Take the plunge! It’s never too late to start! So, here’s to a great skiing experience, light frost, and friendly companions.
Our students tested their skills in inter-college qualifying skiing races at the “Irtysh” ski base in Usolye microdistrict. Thirty students from all college departments participated. The girls competed at a distance of 2 km, and the boys at 5 km. The rankings were as follows:
1st place – Martynov V. (TEU – 412), Kireeva D. (P-124)
2nd place – Mаgau Е. (TEU 214), Safronova A. (P-124)
3rd place – Kadymbekov А. (P -124), Petrova Y. (P -114)
Students from the FS-312 and FS-313 groups of the “Physical Culture and Sports” major contributed to organizing the sports competition.
We congratulate the winners and wish them success in the upcoming regional competitions among college students.
