The week of Foreign languages was held in the college on April 10-15, 2023.
The purposes of week are:
- Involving students in independent creative activity, increasing their interest in learning English;
- identification of students who have creative abilities, strive for in-depth study of the English language.
The lobby’s festive decoration of the ballons and flags, magazines and posters set up all students for a correspondence trip to English-speaking countries. During all the breaks, English songs were played, and newspapers designed by students are illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland”. The students remembered the translation contest “Polyglot”, the intellectual event “Do you know English well?”.
Teachers of all departments were also involved in the week. With a good, cheerful mood, they took part in a musical quiz. The combined teams of the departments competed in guessing the name of the song in English, the artist or the author. With special pleasure, the teachers sang in English, competing with each other. The winners were the team of the Information Technology department.
According to the results of the competitive events, the winners were determined, who were awarded with diplomas and sweet prizes.
Within the framework of the week, 6 open lessons were also held in groups of students of 1-2 courses.
When organizing and conducting the subject week, foreign language teachers tried to make the most of the knowledge and skills of students acquired during their studies. The plan was fully implemented, all the events were held at a fairly good level and helped students to show and develop their general linguistic, intellectual and cognitive abilities, expand erudition and general educational horizons.
