On February 15, 2023, a commemorative event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from the Republic of Afghanistan was held in the Pavlodar city. The organizer was the Public Fund “Veterans and Invalids of the Afghan War and local warriors of the Pavlodar city and Pavlodar region. The participants of this event visited the alley of Afghans, where a rally was held with the laying of flowers in memory of soldiers and officers who did not return from the bloody fields of the war that claimed the lives of over 15 thousand Soviet citizens.
The culmination of the day was a gala evening at the Estai City House of Culture. According to a long-standing tradition, artists of the city and school students took part in it. They performed songs born of the war in Afghanistan. Under the guidance of M.I. Dzhanakhmetov, a teacher at HCInEU, first-year students of the Humanities and Polytechnic department of HCInEU took part in this event. Attending these events is a tribute to the deceased, cultivates patriotic feelings and love for the Motherland.
