On January 26, a conference of the regional detachment “Maidan Zholy” was held on the project “The Fate of the Sailor.” The conference was attended by young search engines of schools in the city No. 18 and gymnasium No. 3, students of HCINEU, representatives of the association of veterans of the Navy of Pavlodar region, employees of the regional Police Department and GU “Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Service” of Pavlodar region.
The conference participants summed up the work over the past year. In 2022, search engines processed more than 7 thousand names, published 1195 collections, which included sailors from Pavlodar. From among the natives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participants in the Great Patriotic War, a registered file cabinet of naval personnel is formed.
The conference was addressed by the commander of the detachment A.V. Shitov, Tazhenov – former director of VNIINEU, Taran E.G. – curator of the project “The Fate of the Sailor,” A.M. Baikulov – deputy chairman of the Design Bureau of the Association of Veterans of the Navy of Pavlodar Region, etc.
Active participants in archival research work were awarded certificates of the Maidan Zholy detachment and diplomas of the association of veterans of the Navy of Pavlodar region.
