“Kazakhstan is a multi-religious state”

Interfaith and inter-ethnic harmony in the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the necessary conditions for the integrity of the state and its advancement along the path of democratic transformation. Representatives of almost 130 nationalities and 48 faiths live in Kazakhstan. They preserve their culture, traditions, customs and language, but at the same time they all respect and honor the traditions of the Kazakh people. Peace and harmony in the field of interethnic and interreligious relations have been preserved in the country. In the context of a multi-ethnic and multi-religious Kazakh society, spiritual peace and harmony have a very important meaning.

At the Higher College of InEU, teachers of history and social disciplines held class hours among students of 1-2 courses on the topic: “Kazakhstan is a multi-religious state.” The purpose of this event is to form Kazakhstani patriotism, strengthen the unity of the nation to deepen and expand the knowledge and idea of ​ ​ Kazakhstan – an independent multinational state; develop cognitive interest, expand the horizons in the field of state interests; education of students of love, respect, tolerance to cultures, historical past and heritage of peoples living in Kazakhstan. Such video videos as: “Kazakhstan is a stronghold of peace and harmony,” “Faith, religions, denominations” were watched. The events were lively, students took an active part in the discussion of topics, expressed their opinion.
