Safety rules for ice

RULES OF CONDUCT IN THE PERIOD OF THAW AND ICE

On February 15, 2021, the head of the Primary Education-318 group, M. Kydyrkulova, held a class hour on the topic “Rules of conduct during thaw and ice”.

The students of the group were reminded how dangerous icicles hanging from the roofs of houses are: most often they form above the gutters, so these places on the facades of houses are especially dangerous. They need to be avoided. Care should be taken and, if possible, do not go close to the walls of buildings. If, while driving on the sidewalk, a suspicious noise is heard above, you cannot stop, raise your head and consider what happened there. Perhaps it is snow or ice block. You can’t run away from the building either. You need to press against the wall as quickly as possible, the roof visor will serve as a shelter. It is also necessary to pay attention to the fenced sections of the sidewalks and in no case enter the danger zones.

The most correct way to protect yourself from ice accidents is to follow traffic rules on the streets. A pedestrian in icy conditions can be injured by a fall and can be run over by a car. Do not walk on prohibited areas, on ice in water bodies. It is very important not to break the ice with your feet, not to come close to holes, cracks, ice holes, not to group on a separate section of the ice, not to sled, ski from a steep cliff onto thin ice, not to ride a motorcycle or a car without a crossing. It is important to take a responsible approach to your safety and follow the rules prescribed by the instructions.
