Aitmatov, Ch. Burannyi halt. And the day lasts longer than a century: novel / translation from Kyrgyz – M .: Soviet writer, 1984. – 304s.
The idea of human responsibility for life on Earth is present in every work of the writer, because in this he sees the meaning of human life. Stormy Edigi is one of those on which the earth rests. He is associated with his era, he is the son of his time. He does not occupy positions of responsibility, he is just a man and a worker. For a writer, a person is significant in deeds, work, therefore in the novel “Storm Station” the world is shown through the fate of a front-line soldier, a railway worker who works hard. He is not faceless, he has his own life line, his own opinion, his very difficult assessments of what is happening. According to Ch. Aitmatov, in the collision of the eternal and current in the life of a working person, his spiritual world and personal traits are revealed.

In the story “The First Teacher” Ch. Aitmatov created a living legend about the first teacher from the ail Kurkureu Duishen Tashtanbekov. This image is very real. Will a modern educated person understand the titanic labor and unparalleled courage of this person, the feat accomplished by him, will he be able to at least approximately imagine the conditions and circumstances in which Duishen had to work. This story fits into just two printed sheets, and what the intensity of passions, what social and psychological problems and the author’s complex idea.
