On October 27, a reporting meeting of the School of Young Search Engineers was held at the Higher College of the Innovative Eurasian University. Students of the 1st and 2nd courses (young search engines) told and showed in the form of a presentation the material that they had developed on the topic “Prisoners of German concentration camps from Pavlodar region.”
The school of the young search engine was created jointly with the Pavlodar search and research group “Maidan-Zholy” as part of the implementation of social projects in the direction of “Asyl Mura”.
This direction is focused on attracting volunteers to projects for the preservation and development of cultural and historical heritage, restoration and preservation of historical, cultural monuments and memorial complexes. After completing the courses, a group of young volunteer search engines will provide assistance to the citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in search of the burial places of concentration camp prisoners and servicemen who went missing on the battlefields during the Great Patriotic War.
The event was attended by the director of the Higher College of InEU Sh.A. Tazhenov, deputy directors for VR, heads of departments, leaders of search groups from among teachers of basic military training and history, as well as young search engines and volunteers.
The director of the Higher College of InEU Sh.A. Tazhenov opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, in his speech he thanked the students for the painstaking work they are doing, working with lists of prisoners in German concentration camps, processing prisoner cards.
During the year, the scientific director of the search activity of the college is Akhmetova Laila Seysembekovna, professor of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, Doctor of Historical Sciences, who this year published the book “Panfilovites: Our Pride, Our Glory.” Our guys-search engines were also engaged in the collection of materials about the 316th rifle division for the book.
The director of the college, Shalkarbay Amirzhanovich, was given a special mission by the author: presenting books. The books were presented to the head of the regional search movement Shitov A.V., the head of the regional archive M.Z. Baizeldinova, college teachers who are in charge of the search teams; through the volunteers of the college, the books were transferred to the Regional Museum. G.N. Potanin, the regional museum “Irtys”, the regional library. S. Toraigyrova.
The results of the first stage of the School for Young Search Engineers will be announced in November. The Pavlodar search and research squad “Maidan Zholy” together with the students of the School of the Young Search Engine are planning to hold a solemn event with the invitation of relatives and presentation of archival documents.
