To all those who have gone into immortality, and
to all who won is dedicated…
70 years separates us from the Great Victory. In the stream of information that has fallen on modern youth about that distant war, history is falsified, the feat of a Soviet soldier is crossed out by many countries, replaced by other concepts. Therefore, we simply have an obligation to preserve and convey to our children and grandchildren all that our great grandparents told about that war. Now we are responsible for not belittling the Feat that the Soviet people performed during the Great Patriotic War. On the eve of the great holiday on February 18, the literary and musical composition “The Victorious People” was held at InEU College, addressed to the pages of the common history of all fraternal republics.
In the Great Patriotic War, Kazakhstan participated as part of a single country. For the exploits in the Great Patriotic War, 110 Kazakhstanis were awarded the Order of Glory of three degrees, and 499 Kazakhstanis were awarded the title “Hero of the Soviet Union.” Participants and spectators of the event were 1-year students. In front of them was an episode of the battle at the Dubosekovo junction, where 28 Panfilovites, led by political instructor Vasily Klochkov, took up defense. The Panfilov division stopped the enemy at a terrible price: only 5 soldiers survived. The support of Kazakhstan was felt not only by the Red Army, but also by the besieged Leningrad. Poems by Zhambyl Zhabaev “Leningraders, my children! Leningraders, my pride! “for the townspeople were like soldering bread, like a support for the spirit. Divisions and battalions formed in Kazakhstan participated in the battles for Stalingrad. One of the streets of the city is called “Kazakh” as a tribute to the heroism of soldiers from distant Kazakhstan. The contribution of Pavlodar residents during the war years is invaluable. 23 of our fellow countrymen were awarded the title “Hero of the Soviet Union.” Many at the cost of their lives gave humanity peace. With a minute of silence, the students honored the memory of all the fallen heroes. Poems and songs about the war sounded from the stage, footage of documentary chronicles about how the war responded in the vastness of Kazakhstan: the formation of military units, donations from ordinary citizens, the contribution of rural workers, factories, mines, mines, deportation of peoples. Years go by, decades change… But the feat of the people in the Great Patriotic War is destined to remain in History forever.
