Pupils of Pavlodar region, distinguished by their creative, intellectual and sports achievements, received an award from Akim of Pavlodar region. On the eve of the national holiday of the Republic Day, the ceremony was held to honor 100 holders of the Tauelsizdik Ulany sign. The student of the Higher College of InEU Shcherbakova Lidiya got the honorary award. Lydia won in the Sports Excellence category. The 1st year student of the specialty “Physical Education and Sports” is the winner and prize-winner of regional, republican and international championships. The girl is engaged in aerial gymnastics on the air ring projectile. “Dear friends, I am sincerely glad to greet you today, so talented and energetic. With all my heart I wish you to keep these qualities and, as true leaders, develop them in the people around you. Only in this way will we build a healthy, intellectual nation. This is the only way our Kazakhstan will grow and prosper,” addressed Abylkair Skakov to the winners of the award. The Friendship House hosted the awards ceremony, which was attended by laureates of 5 nominations: “Socially Significant and Public Activities”, “Scientific and Technical Creativity and Educational and Research Activities”, “Sports Excellence”, “Professional Excellence” and “Creative Excellence”. More than 700 applications were submitted for the award, 380 people became applicants. And only 100 of them, according to the results of the jury evaluation, received an honorary award. “As a child, when I went to the circus, I saw magnificent performances of aerial gymnasts on various apparatus. Their performances seemed to me dangerous, but at the same time unusually beautiful. I decided to do aerial gymnastics and I succeeded! I have been in this sport and art for 4 years now. My apparatus is an air ring. In this sport I am the professional and compete in the Elite category. Last year I became the champion of Kazakhstan and went to the world, where I took 12th place out of 20 participants. I am very pleased that all my efforts were awarded with the Tauelsizdik Ulany award,” shared her hapiness Lidiya Shcherbakova.
